Unlike your conventional gyms, CrossFit Direct Action focuses on functional fitness within a familial community. We aim to not only help members achieve their fitness goals but to build a support system that will allow them to sustain their goals.
CrossFit Direct Action incorporates routines such as High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Olympic Weightlifting, Plyometrics, Powerlifting, Gymnastics, Calisthenics, and Strongman exercises.
The difference between CrossFit Direct Action and other fitness modalities is its sense of community and the use of functional fitness. Unlike working out in a typical conventional gym where you are an individual working within a group or running on a treadmill by yourself, we encourage camaraderie and group engagement that can extend beyond the gym doors. It is a community, or better yet, a family.
Direct Action is a military term that means the following:
"Short-duration strikes and other small-scale offensive actions conducted as a special operation in hostile, denied, or politically sensitive environments and which employ specialized military capabilities to seize, destroy, capture, exploit, recover, or damage designated targets. Direct action differs from conventional offensive actions in the level of physical and political risk, operational techniques, and the degree of discriminate and precise use of force to achieve specific objectives."
The name, CrossFit Direct Action, was chosen because just like the Special Forces teams, our members: Have a mission (goals), come in and accomplish that mission (goals), then move on to the next mission (goals). We are helping each member prepare for their "Direct Action".
