Our Team

Meet our highly qualified Coaches.

Growing up in American Fork, UT I was introduced to athletics at a young age started artistic gymnastics at the age of 6 and training into my teens, until I found track and field which I competed in through middle and high school. I started cheerleading my senior year of high school where I ultimately completed a 4 year scholarship at Southern Utah University for Cheerleading. Going to the gym, however, was always a struggle for me until one day in 2012 I saw the CrossFit games on TV and was instantly interested. That Summer I went to the local box, signed up and have been hooked ever since! In my free time I love playing video games, especially Super Smash Bros. (which I have played in competitions…), eating oatmeal for every meal, taking long walks from the couch to the bathroom and not going to the beach. Ever.

I'm not your typical athlete. I played soccer at a young age, been skiing and snowboarding since I was 5 years old and played baseball for a few years. Once I hit high school I became more interested in music and computers. I didn't workout for years until I finally realized that I needed to change my health. In 2009 I bought P90X and fell in love with it, so much that I did the program 6 times! I then became a Beachbody Coach in 2010 and got my P90X Certified Coach certificate in 2012. Then one day in 2012 I decide to try a CrossFit workout and I was instantly hooked! Becoming unfulfilled with my current work as an I.T. Administrator, I decided to venture off and open up my own CrossFit gym. I wanted to show others what CrossFit is and why I do it. I wanted them to feel the same passion that I do. On October 6, 2014 I opened the doors for the first time at CrossFit Direct Action.

Who We Are

We love helping people reach their fitness goals

Unlike your conventional gyms, CrossFit Direct Action focuses on functional fitness within a familial community. We aim to not only help members achieve their fitness goals but to build a support system that will allow them to sustain their goals.

CrossFit Direct Action incorporates routines such as High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Olympic Weightlifting, Plyometrics, Powerlifting, Gymnastics, Calisthenics, and Strongman exercises.

The difference between CrossFit Direct Action and other fitness modalities is its sense of community and the use of functional fitness. Unlike working out in a typical conventional gym where you are an individual working within a group or running on a treadmill by yourself, we encourage camaraderie and group engagement that can extend beyond the gym doors. It is a community, or better yet, a family.

Direct Action is a military term that means the following:

"Short-duration strikes and other small-scale offensive actions conducted as a special operation in hostile, denied, or politically sensitive environments and which employ specialized military capabilities to seize, destroy, capture, exploit, recover, or damage designated targets. Direct action differs from conventional offensive actions in the level of physical and political risk, operational techniques, and the degree of discriminate and precise use of force to achieve specific objectives."

The name, CrossFit Direct Action, was chosen because just like the Special Forces teams, our members: Have a mission (goals), come in and accomplish that mission (goals), then move on to the next mission (goals). We are helping each member prepare for their "Direct Action".
